Helpful information

Solid colors, not AI recognition

This tool compares pixel colors. It does not identify a subject, hair, people, products, or complex scenery.

Tolerance and edge softness

Tolerance includes colors farther from the selected background. Edge softness gradually reduces alpha near the boundary for a less jagged result.

Protecting colors inside the subject

Keep the edge-connected option on when the background reaches the image edges. Matching colors enclosed inside the subject will usually remain opaque.
